Definition
VA and kVA both measure apparent electrical power (voltage × current, without power factor). They differ only by scale: 1 kVA = 1000 VA. Convert with kVA = VA ÷ 1000. Power factor is not used for this conversion — use it when converting to or from watts/kW.

Convert volt-amperes (VA) to kilovolt-amperes (kVA) — or reverse. Both measure apparent power; only the scale changes:

S(kVA) = (S(VA))/1000 S(VA) = S(kVA) × 1000
